Sam Jones

The GAME has always been in my blood.  Growing up in the South contributed to my  enthusiasm and love for sports.  The climate in and around the SEC has always been one that would make even a nonchalant fan become intense.  Being surrounded by sports fanatics certainly added to my passion. My aspirations to be a Sports Analyst and Broadcaster began in middle school when I recorded stats for little league baseball.  I soon began commentating for school ballgames and emceed for various pageants and school programs.  My communications and commentator skills improved with every new experience, and I knew The University of Alabama was the place for me to gain opportunities to further my career in media.  As a college Freshman, I became a radio personality for The Booth on WVUA 90.7FM and continued my radio broadcast into my Senior year. In addition to my weekly program, I have been a guest on local and regional talk radio programs.  As a UA Grad, I’m determined to aim high, work hard, be a team player, and follow the advice of Michael Jordan when he said, “I've always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come."
